1. Agreed Price

The agreed Price is the price to be paid for the journey as agreed between Delux Cars and the customer. The times, other details of the journey are stipulated on the Booking Confirmation which will be sent to you via email in a PDF format. Please check these details carefully making sure that we have the correct details for your journey (for example: Day, Date, Time and Flight number if applicable). Providing us with wrong travel details may incur charges.

Any requests to modify any of these details should be made to us at least 24 hours in advance of the date of travel and we will endeavour to accommodate changes to the customer's requirement, subject to our ability to do so. 

Rates are subject to alteration without prior notification. All account holders will be notified one month prior to any price increases. 

Account facilities are available for registered UK and international companies.

2. Payment

All bookings are confirmed by the payment in advance of a non-refundable deposit. The Balance Due is the amount outstanding net of any deposit paid. The balance is due for payment two weeks prior to the event, unless otherwise agreed by Delux Cars. We do not accept cheques, debit cards, credit cards or foreign currency as final payment on the day of hire unless agreed in advance. Settlement of the Agreed Price in advance by cheque or electronic transfer must allow adequate time for funds to be cleared before the date of travel.

All hires must be fully paid in advance except where the hirer has a credit account where in payment is due within 30 days from the date of invoice.

2.1. Additional charges 

2.1.1 Overtime 

The hire agreement between Delux Cars and the customer includes specified pick up and return times and/or duration of hire. Adhering to these times forms an integral part of our operation. Where these times are not adhered to, we may incur additional cost or risk disappointing other customers. 

For that reason, we reserve the right to levy additional charges should the times agreed between us not be adhered to by the customer. 

The overtime rate that will be charged is as specified below. Rates are for each hour or part thereof. 

Waiting time £24.00 per hour ‘rounded up’ to nearest 15 minutes

Payment of all overtime charges must be settled before the end of the hire. We do not accept cheques, debit cards, credit cards or foreign currency as payment on the day of hire unless agreed in advance with the Delux Cars. 

In the event that payment of overtime charges cannot be made on the day of hire, the customer agrees that the amounts will be charged to the credit or debit card with which the booking deposit was paid. 

2.1.2 Unsociable Hours

Please note that any journey that commences or ends after 10pm (22:00) and begins before 6am (06:00) will be charged at an unsocial rate (night rate). The extra charge for such a journey will be an additional 25% of the agreed price.

A surcharge of 50% will be added to the current tariff for services provided on bank and public holidays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Eve are by prior negotiation.

 If it is necessary for our chauffeurs to have overnight accommodation this will be charged at £80.00 within the UK and £100.00 within Europe.

2.1.3 Damages 

We reserve the right to charge the customer a minimum of £100 for any damage to or soiling of the vehicle or any of its equipment caused by you or members of your party. 

Payment of the minimum damage charge must be settled before the end of the hire. We do not accept cheques, debit cards, credit cards or foreign currency as payment on the day of hire. In the event that payment of damage-related charges cannot be made on the day of hire, the customer agrees that the amounts will be charged to the credit or debit card with which the booking deposit was paid.

Where the cost of rectification or repair may, in the view of the Chauffeur, exceeds £100, the minimum charge will be made by the method described above and a further amount invoiced to the customer to reflect the cost of restoring the vehicle to its previous condition. Should we be unable to use the vehicle due to damage caused we reserve the right to charge for loss of use.

3. Hire type 

We offer a range of hire options, including a pick-up and return service, a one-way service and a continual hire service. Unless you have opted for a continual hire agreement, other customers may have hired the vehicle before or after the outward or homeward bound legs of your journey. 

The inside of the car will be cleaned and replenished as necessary between these hires. Journeys will commence only if full payment has been received unless otherwise agreed with Delux Cars.

The route taken will be at the discretion of the Chauffeur on the day unless previously stipulated. We do reserve the right to change an agreed route should road conditions dictate it. 

All our vehicles are restricted by law to a maximum of 4 passengers and under no circumstances are we allowed to carry more. (Unless a larger vehicle has been pre-booked with us)

We operate a no smoking policy. Delux Cars and its Chauffeurs reserve the right to refuse carriage to any person found smoking in the vehicle. 

No illegal drugs are to be carried or used whilst in the vehicles. Delux Cars and its Chauffeurs reserve the right to refuse carriage to any person found to be using or carrying prohibited substances.

No alcohol is to be served to persons under the age of 18 and proof of identity may be required. 

No food to be consumed in the car unless previously agreed. 

Delux Cars and its Chauffeurs reserve the right to refuse carriage to any person fighting or behaving in a violent or abusive manner. 

4. Airport pick-ups 

Full flight details help us to give you punctual service. We will make reasonable attempts to monitor incoming flight times, but we are unable to access reliable information until shortly before scheduled arrival times. If your return flight is going to be delayed, you should make contact with Delux Cars to notify us, so that we can adjust our schedules and rearrange Chauffeurs. We will endeavour to accommodate delayed flight times, but cannot be held liable should circumstances prevent us from being able to respond to changes. 

In the event that we are reasonably notified of delays, we reserve the right to make additional charges for subsequent collection.

5. Cancellation of Booking 

Our charges in the event of cancellations reflect our assessment of the likelihood of being able to re-hire the car following a cancellation.

Charges vary by vehicle type and depend on how much notice we are given.

If a booking is cancelled by the Customer within 4 hours from the start of the period hire, 50% of all monies paid will be non-refundable.

If a booking is cancelled by the Customer within 2 hours from the start of the period hire, 100% of all monies paid will be non-refundable.

If a wedding booking is cancelled within 3 months from the start of the period of hire, the deposit will be non-refundable. If a wedding booking is cancelled within 2 months from the start of the period of hire, the full hire amount will still be charged to the customer.

If the customer does not appear at the time and place designated as the pickup point, all monies paid will be non-refundable.

6. Lost property 

Delux Cars accepts no responsibility for the belongings of any customer or member of a party; however we will make every effort to return any property left in our vehicles. Any costs incurred will be payable by the owner.

7. Breakdown 

In the unlikely event of breakdown or the car being rendered unserviceable (for example, in the event of collision), we will use our best endeavours to provide a back-up vehicle or vehicles as quickly as possible. However, we cannot be held liable for any consequential loss incurred as a result of vehicle breakdown or similar unavailability. 

8. Grace Period

We always strive to arrive at pick-up points in advance of the times agreed. Very occasionally, events outside our control (for example, traffic congestion or bad weather) cause us to be late. In these circumstances, provided we arrive within 30 minutes of the scheduled time, this will be deemed to be within the terms of the agreement, in such cases, and if reasonably practical, we will endeavour to adjust the agreed booking times to make up for the delay, for example by adding a similar time at the end of the booking period.

Any alterations by the customer to the agreed booking will be at the discretion of Delux Cars.
